LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), March 3 (SeeNews) – U.S-based Westinghouse Electric Company said on Monday it has completed the installation of a fully passive containment filtered venting system (PFCVS) at Slovenia’s sole nuclear power plant (NPP) Krsko. The system enhances safety in the area of severe accident management, Westinghouse Electric Company said in a statement on its website. The installation was required by the Slovenian Nuclear Safety Administration following the March 2011 accident at Japan’s Fukushima Daiichi NPP.
