June 1 (SeeNews) - German construction equipment maker Wacker Neuson Group opened a factory in Serbia's southern city of Kragujevac, the government said on Thursday.
The company plans to employ 200 workers in the factory, the government said in a press release.
In March 2022, Wacker Neuson said it will invest 23 million euro ($24.6 million) in the first phase of the construction of the factory spanning 20,000 sq m, with a potential to expand to 50,000 sq m.
Munich-headquartered Wacker Neuson a global manufacturer of high-quality light and compact equipment. It also operates in the US and has a total of more than 6,300 employees.
