November 10 (SeeNews) - Greece-based software company SoftOne Technologies, which also operates in Bulgaria, Romania and Cyprus, said on Wednesday that a consortium of international investors will acquire a 45% stake in the firm in order to accelerate its expansion in Greece and international markets.
Marco Veremis and an international investment group led by industry expert Franck Cohen will buy the 45% stake in SoftOne and enter the company's board of directors, the software provider said in a statement.

"This investment is made entirely through the acquisition of the shares of G. Karatzikos, D. Valachis, N. Arenikis and S. Voglitsis. Following the transaction, G. Karatzikos, D. Valachis and N. Arenikis will resign from their position as members of the SoftOne board of directors, while G. Karatzikos and D. Valachis remain consultants of the company," SoftOne added.
Cohen is a former executive of German multinational software corporation SAP, who has worked as a consultant to technology companies, such as UIPath and WORKDAY, SoftOne said.
Veremis is co-founder and president of UK-based mobile technology company Upstream, while also a partner in Greece's BigPi Venture Capital. He is also a member of the executive board of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises and is very active as an investor and board director of various successful technology companies, such as Persado, Workable and Hellas Direct, SoftOne added.
SoftOne Technologies, part of international investment group Olympia, is specialised in providing cloud-based ERP and CRM solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
