The new entity, Syntronic Production and Aftermarket Services, will initially focus on repair services in order to meet the growing demand for efficient and high-quality electronics repair solutions in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) market, the company said in a press release issued last week. Subsequently, the unit will also start offering high-volume, low-cost production alongside repair services.

The Timisoara facility will also act as a logistics centre, offering spare parts management services and logistic solutions, leading to streamlined operations and timely deliveries, which will minimize downtime.

The value of the investment was not disclosed.

"With our new site in Romania, we are ready to serve customers seeking efficient and cost-effective electronics manufacturing and repair services in the EMEA region," Syntronic Group founder and CEO Bjorn Jansson said in the press release.

Syntronic has plans for further expansion in Romania in the areas of production, aftermarket services, and logistics, according to the statement.

With more than 35 years of experience, Syntronic is a leading engineering design company which currently employs around 2,000 people globally. It offers development, production, and aftermarket services as well as related support during the product life cycle for the telecom, automotive, medtech, and industrial sectors.
