April 27 (SeeNews) - The operator of Slovenia’s Sostanj coal-fired power plant TES has shut the plant's 600 MW Unit 6 for planned maintenance, it said on Wednesday.
The works will be completed by May 9, the power plant operator said in a press release.
During the shutdown, the production of electricity for the needs of the Slovenian electricity network and heat for the Saleska Valley will be ensured through the operation of Unit 5 and gas units.
Unit 6 has produced 1,012 GWh of electricity since the beginning of 2022, the operator said.
State-controlled Holding Slovenske Elektrarne (HSE) is the sole owner of TES.
