At their general meeting on May 23, shareholders approved a dividend payout of 74 million euro ($80 million) from the profit available for appropriation, Petrol said in a filing with the Ljubljana Stock Exchange on Thursday.

The remaining portion of the profit for appropriation, totaling 216,720 euro, along with any amounts resulting from the number of own shares on the record date and from rounding off dividend payment figures, will be transferred to other profit reserves, Petrol said.

Petrol turned to a net profit of 136.6 million euro in 2023 from a 2.7 million euro loss in the previous year. Petrol recorded sales revenues of 7.0 billion euro, down 26%, mainly due to lower prices of fuels and other energy products, while earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) amounting to 277.1 million euro in 2023, or 180.8 million euro more than in 2022.
