“We are nicely surprised by the keen interest,” Bostjan Ceh, one of the founders of the accelerator, said in a press release.
Most of the applications came from Poland, Serbia, Germany, Bosnia, Estonia, North Macedonia, Lithuania, Latvia and Bulgaria, there are 12 from Croatia, while 15% of all applications are from countries outside the region that the accelerator covers.
Labena Ventures will choose 10 projects by startups and individuals and will provide them with access to more than 100 million euro ($108 million) of investments, to be sourced from different investors.
