LJUBLJANA (Slovenia), June 4 (SeeNews) - Slovenian stock indices hit record highs on Monday in low-key trading and brokers expect the market to remain quiet this week.The broader 15-share SBI20 index of the bourse in Ljubljana returned above the 9,500 point-level, closing at 9,510.58, up 0.48%. The blue-chip SBITOP index was up 0.6% to close at 2,057.31."There were no big changes on the market today, there was nothing special," Franci Tusek, an analyst with Medvesek Pusnik brokerage house, told SeeNews.Rubber-to-tourism group Sava was the biggest gainer among the blue chips on Monday. Its shares increased 2.46% to an average price of 479.25 euro ($647), close to the psychological level of 500 euro, at which the Slovenian government is expected to sell its stake in Sava, Tusek said.Brokers have attributed the gains in Sava's share price in the last few weeks to its expansion in the Slovenian banking sector and expectations that the government will offer for sale its 30% stake in the company. Earlier this year, Sava bought 22.89% of the country's third-largest bank by assets, Abanka Vipa, raising its stake to 23.33%. The company said that it plans to merge Abanka and Gorenjska Banka, of which it owns 41.4%, after reaching agreement with the other shareholders of the two banks.Blue-chip fuel trader Petrol rose 1.73% to 665.82 euro on Monday. Last week the company ranked best bidder in a tender for setting up a joint venture with Montenegrin state-owned oil firm Montenegro Bonus, which boosted Petrol's share price but it had no real significant effect, Tusek said.Heavyweight blue-chip drug maker Krka had the highest turnover on Monday, of 1.673 million euro. Its share added 0.17% to 912.97 euro."Krka is coming close to the psychological level of 920, its value from January," Tusek said.Tusek expects quiet trading on the market this week."I do not expect anything peculiarthis week [...], the SBI20 index to rise by one percent or two percent at the maximum," he said.The total turnover on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange rose to 6.15 million euro on Monday from 6.0 million euro on Friday.($ = 0.7413 euro)
