June 23 (SeeNews) - Serbian company Snaga Istoka intends to build a wind farm with installed capacity of some 300 MW in the eastern municipality of Bar, the local goverment said on Friday.
The wind farm will span 2,700 hectares and will comprise 41 wind turbines of 7.2 MW each, according to project documentation posted on the Bor municipality website.

According to the Serbian business registry, Snaga Istoka is equally owned by private individuals Igor Zivkovic and Dejan Vuksanovic, It was founded in May 2022 with a capital of 2,000 dinars ($19/17 euro).
So far, eight wind farms with a total capacity of 398 MW have been connected to Serbia's power grid, according to data of the country's Association of Renewable Energy Sources.
Approached by SeeNews for further information about the planned investment volume, a Bar municipal official declined to comment. A SeeNews email to Snaga Istoka went unanswered by the time this article was published.
