March 8 (SeeNews) - Serbian diversified conglomerate MK Group said it will commission the 165 million euro ($180 million) Krivaca wind farm in May, adding that it plans to invest a total of 900 million euro in 1 GW of green energy projects by 2026.
"MK Group has so far built three wind parks in Vojvodina, and in May we will open as well Krivaca - the first wind park in eastern Serbia," the company's director general, Mihailo Jankovic, said during the Kopaonik Business Forum held in the capital Belgrade earlier this week.

Jankovic said that MK Group is also working on building the Kula agro-solar project.
The 106 MW Krivaca wind farm is a joint investment of MK Group and Slovenian investment fund Alfi Green Energy. Its construction began at the end of 2022 and its annual output is seen at 310 GWh. The wind farm will comprise 22 wind turbines supplied by Germany's Nordex.
In February 2023, Jankovic announced that, independently and through joint ventures, MK Group has been engaged in the development of 320 MW of wind energy projects and 660 MW of solar energy projects. These investments amount to nearly 1.0 billion euro and are planned for a five-year period.
He noted at the time that MK Group was involved in the first agro-solar project in the Balkans, with a capacity of 600 MW, currently underway in the municipality of Kula, located in Vojvodina.
So far, MK Group participated in the construction of three wind farms in the northern province of Vojvodina - the 9.9 MW Kula, the 6.6 MW La Piccolina and the 69 MW Kosava, developed jointly with Fintel Energija, the Serbian subsidiary of Italy's Fintel Energia Group.
