June 8 (SeeNews) - Serbia's government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the China National Space Administration (CNSA) to cooperate in the development of space technologies, satellite systems and Earth observation, it said.
Under the terms of the MoU, Serbia and China will develop bilateral cooperation in research, development and application of space technologies, including joint construction of satellite data reception stations and development of satellite systems, the Serbian government said in a statement on Friday.
The MoU represents a step forward in promoting bilateral cooperation in the field of space technologies, the director of CNSA, Zhang Kejian, said.
"Our goal is to see the Serbian flag on the spacecraft that we will jointly design," Kejian added.
