May 11 (SeeNews) - Romanian tourism-focused company Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra [BVB:EFO] recorded losses worth 5.27 million lei ($1.12 million/ 1.06 million euro) over the first quarter of 2022, compared to 4.7 million lei losses in the same period of 2021, the company announced on Wednesday.
As part of the unaudited financial report, the company also reported an operating income of 83,635 lei in the first quarter of 2022, it said in a statement filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BVB.
Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra booked a 51.13 million lei net profit in 2021, on a 46.25 million lei turnover.
Founded in 2005, Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra is a company operating recreational facilities on Romania’s seaboard. The company currently manages 23 accommodation units and 20 board units, with a total of 7836 beds, providing packages of accommodation, meals, as well as entertainment.
Its main shareholder is investment fund SIF Transilvania, with a 78.11% stake in the company.
Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra shares traded up 3.67% at 0.1975 lei as of 12:23 CET on Wednesday.
