Romania's Sphera Franchise opens new KFC restaurant

July 5 (SeeNews) - Romanian fast food chain Sphera Franchise Group [BSE:SFG] has opened a new KFC restaurant in the central city of Sinaia, following an investment of around 1 million euro ($1.1 million), it said on Friday.

The new Drive Thru restaurant, spanning 320 sq m in the Sinaia Plaza commercial park, marks the first KFC unit in the city and has a capacity of 98 indoor and outdoor seats, the company said in a press release. The drive thru and take-away services at the new location are accessible 24/7.

The Sinaia restaurant is staffed by 40 people.

Sphera Franchise Group operates over 170 KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants in Romania, Italy and Moldova, employing some 5,000 people.

Blue-chip Sphera Franchise's shares traded flat at 37.8 lei ($8.2/7.59 euro) as at 1003 CET on Friday on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
