November 25 (SeeNews) - Romanian natural gas producer Romgaz [BSE:SNG] said that it has concluded a 5.4 million lei ($1.14 million/1.1 million euro) electricity sale deal with E.ON Energie Romania, the local unit of German energy company E.ON.
The deal covers the month of December, Romgaz said in a report filed with the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Thursday.
This new sale follows a 46.4 million lei deal signed between the two company on Wednesday, also for the last month of this year, bourse data indicated.
E.ON Energie Romania is a member of Germany’s E.ON group and a distributor of natural gas, electricity and energy solutions, with a portfolio of roughly 3.3 million clients.
Romgaz is the largest natural gas producer and main supplier in Romania. It is a joint stock company whose majority shareholder is the Romanian state, holding a 70% stake. Its shares are listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, while its global depositary receipts (GDRs) are traded on the London Stock Exchange.
Romgaz shares traded 1% higher at 40.4 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange as of 1449 CET on Friday.
