The solar plant, worth over 862,000 euro ($932,678), spans an area of 12,000 sq m, Restart Energy said in a social media post. The PV panels were installed on the ground and on the rooftops of Mobilaiud's buildings at its factory in the central commune of Radesti, Alba county.

The installation will generate 1130 MWh of green energy annually, covering 94% of Mobilaiud's electricity needs. The solar park will also reduce CO2 emissions and eliminate radioactive waste by 351 tonnes and 82.8 kg, respectively, per year.

Mobilaiud was founded in 1993 and currently employs 100 people, delivering furniture mainly to large chain stores and warehouses in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Hungary, France, Italy, and Romania.

Established in 2015, Restart Energy is part of renewable energy group Armand, founded by Armand Domuta. In 2023, Restart Energy's net profit plunged by 77% to 5 million lei ($1.1 million/1 million euro).
