November 23 (SeeNews) - Romanian private railway transport operator Grup Feroviar Roman, part of Grampet Group, said that it plans to hire 150, including 15 engineers, by the end of this year.
The new employees will be integrated into an extensive process of professional training and planning, in line with the strategic approach by which the company prepares its long-term workforce, GFR said in a press release on Monday.
"In 20 years of GFR’s activity, we have not seen a real strategy for cultivating ьnd growing human resources in Romania. The consequence is that we, operators, are faced with fierce competition for a shrinking and aging workforce, and this factor of unpredictability endangers the sustainability of the business," Grampet president and founder Gruia Stoica said.
Grup Feroviar Roman is the biggest private railway transport operator in Romania, with a market share of approximately 30% and over 5,000 employees.
GFR is part of Grampet Group, the largest private rail freight and logistics operator in Romania comprising 16 companies.
