January 20 (SeeNews) - Romania's Electrica Furnizare, a subsidiary of Electrica Group [BSE:EL], said that it is building a 0.2 MWp solar power plant for local poultry producer Fermador.
The photovoltaic installation, to be mounted on the rooftop of Fermador's poultry farm in Henci, Iasi county will reduce the company's annual CO2 footprint by 53 tonnes per year, Electrica Furnizare said in a press release on Thursday.

Electrica Furnizare supplies electricity to 18 counties across Romania, serving some 3.2 million customers. At the end of last year, the company said it has delivered PV projects worth about 13 million euro ($14 million) to partners in 2022.
Electrica Group's shares traded 0.59% lower at 8.4 lei as at 1056 CET on Friday on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
