June 10 (SeeNews) - Romania’s competition authority said on Friday that it has approved the acquisition of three wind plants and four wind park projects located in the Eastern county of Vaslui by Alive Wind Power One, a special-purpose vehicle set up by local power distributor Premier Energy [BSE:PE].

Romania's antitrust body clears Alive Wind Power buy of wind assets

The Competition Council found no significant concerns regarding the effect of the transaction on competition within the Romanian market, it said in a statement.

In April, local news outlet Profit.ro reported that Premier Energy had acquired the wind assets, with a cumulated installed capacity of 18 MW, from local company Self Concept.

Last month, Premier Energy listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) acquired a 3.2% stake in the company in the IPO.

Shares in Premier Energy traded 0.48% lower at 20.9 lei ($4.58/4.2 euro) at 1634 CET on Friday.
