February 18 (SeeNews) - Romania's competition regulator said on Thursday it has approved the takeover of dialysis and nephrology Romanian company International Healthcare Systems (IHS) by Swedish competitor Diaverum. "Following its review, the Competition Council found that the transaction does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition in the market, in particular by creating or strengthening a dominant position," the anti-trust body said in a statement. Diaverum entered in Romania in 2011 by acquiring 9 dialysis centres from Romanian healtcare provider Polisano. It currently operates 18 dialysis centres in 10 cities.
