Montenegro’s EPCG, Poland’s Respect Energy sign MoU for RES projects

November 23 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's state-controlled power utility Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG) said it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Poland’s Respect Energy for the development and exploitation of renewable energy sources (RES) in Montenegro.

Under the MoU, EPCG and Respect Energy will determine the possibilities for establishing a joint venture and developing future renewable energy projects, including an offshore wind farm, a battery storage plant and a solar power plant in Montenegro, EPCG said in a press release on Wednesday.

Additionally, the MoU envisages the development of an ammonia and hydrogen plant equipped with an electrolyzer.
