Kosovo's net power supply drops 16.7% y/y in April

June 21 (SeeNews) - Kosovo's gross power output increased to 600.8 GWh in April, from 514.2 GWh in the same month of last year, the national statistical office, ASK, said on Friday.

Thermal power plants produced 533.7 GWh of electricity, wind and solar plants generated 29.3 GWh, whereas hydro plants produced 37.8 GWh in April, ASK said in a monthly report.

The country's net power supply, taking into account imports and exports, decreased 16.7% year on year in April, to 523 GWh. Electricity imports amounted to 207 GWh in April, down 35% on the year, whereas exports surged by 40% to 284.6 GWh.

Coal production amounted to 6,887.5 tonnes in April, a 16.74% annual increase.
