February 28 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian online platform for booking caravans Karavani.bg said on Tuesday it has raised over 120,000 levs ($65,132/61,355 euro) from micro-investors and is considering a new investment round.
In view of its rapid development, the company is eyeing a new round which will be open to both investment funds and micro-investors, as well as new investors, the startup said in an emailed statement.
The completed funding round attracted 30 individual investors, of which ten were approved to participate. The fresh funds will be used to support the overall development of Karvani.bg, including for improving its services and platform and entering partnerships.
The startup aims to establish its position in Bulgaria in 2023. In 2024, the company expects to be able to compete on the broader regional market. For the purpose, the firm is pursuing international partnerships, including co-operations with campsite operators in neighbouring countries.
Previously, Karavani.bg attracted an investment of 50,000 euro ($53,042) from Bulgarian venture capital fund Innovation Capital.
Launched in 2021, the startup is offering online booking of caravans as well as bungalows, campers, tents and dome houses.
