Yazaki Serbia d. o. o., a wholly owned subsidiary of Yazaki Wiring Technologies GmbH, plans to earn 120 million euro ($141.5 million) annually by exporting products produced in Sabac to European markets, local media reported.
The factory, whose construction was launched last year, spreads on an area of 30,000 sq m and employs 500 people. Yazaki plans to hire some 1,700 people in Serbia in the next two and a half years.
In November, the Serbian government said Yazaki plans to invest 25.1 million euro in the construction of the factory in Sabac.
Yazaki launched the construction of a 50 million euro car parts plant in Bulgaria in July 2016, its third in Serbia's eastern neighbour. Elsewhere in Southeast Europe (SEE), Yazaki also operates plants in Romania and Croatia.
