SAP solutions specialists and developers , IT developers, electricians, engineers and quality inspectors will be able to receive training at the centre, Prysmian said in a press release.
The company also said it plans to make new hires this year at both of its factories in Slatina, in which it currently employs a total of 1,200.
"During this extremely uncertain period both on the labour market and in terms of workforce, Prysmian will increase production at the factory in Slatina. The industrial platform requires constant development, and for this we need specialists who can work with us for clients around the world," Prysmian Romania HR director Giancarlo Esposito said.
Milan-headquartered Prysmian is specialised in the production of cables for use in the energy and telecommunications sectors. The company is present in 50 countries with 104 factories and employs over 28,000.
