"Taking back planning, building and operating activities from ENTS will allow us to further improve our in-house capabilities with the aim to further improve the quality of our network and services for our customers," chief technical and information officer at Hrvatski Telekom, Boris Drilo, said in a press release.

Hrvatski Telekom transferred the unit in September 2014, and since then it has been delivering to it construction and maintenance services of the fixed and mobile telecommunications infrastructure.

The transfer of the technological unit back to Hrvatski Telekom, together with the employees, is scheduled for January 1, 2024.

Hrvatski Telekom’s shares traded 0.40% higher at 24.90 euro ($27), while Ericsson Nikola Tesla’s shares fell 1.79% to 219 euro intraday on Friday on the Zagreb bourse.
