October 31 (SeeNews) - US hospitality chain Hilton opened on Tuesday a Hampton branded hotel in Romania's eastern city of Iasi.
Hampton by Hilton Iasi, which opened on the premises of the former Europa hotel, features 15 stories and 117 rooms, Hilton said in a press release.
The 4-star Europa hotel underwent full renovation for more than three years and was rebranded as Hilton Iasi.
This is the second Hampton by Hilton hotel in Romania, after the one opened in the central city of Cluj in 2013.
Hilton Worldwide now operates five hotels in Romania, under three brands - Hampton, DoubleTree and Athenee Palace.
Hilton is a leading global hospitality company, with a portfolio of 14 world-class brands comprising more than 5,100 properties with nearly 838,000 rooms in 103 countries and territories.
