Groupe Renault Romania seeks 300 new employees

October 20 (SeeNews) - Groupe Renault Romania said on Friday it is looking to hire 300 people in research and development (R&D), business services, manufacturing, procurement, and finance at a job fair taking place this weekend in Bucharest.

The jobs are available at the company's offices in the capital Bucharest, at its technical centre in Titu, Dambovita county, and at its industrial platform in Mioveni, Arges county, Groupe Renault Romania said in a press release.

"We continue to recruit and enrich our teams to contribute to the success of our products both in Romania and in the markets where we sell Global Access vehicles. Some 30% of the 1,800 trainees of the "Drive your Future" program, who have chosen to know us from a practical perspective, are now our colleagues," Renault Technologie Roumanie engineering director Pascal Candau said.

The "Drive your Future" programme aims at early identification of young talents, professional insertion and to support public-private partnership in the Romanian education system.

For R&D, the company provides development opportunities for automotive engineers with a technical education profile, while in services, Renault Services Romania aims to strengthen teams in supply chain, after-sales and market research activities.

For the vehicle manufacturing industry, the jobs at the industrial platform in Mioveni, where Romanian car maker Automobile Dacia is based, the company is looking for technical specialists, experience in automation and industrial performance audit.

For procurement, the company is looking for people with technical and economic studies, quality experience and supplier audits, as well as competent in cost and economic performance analysis .

Renault bought Automobile Dacia, an ailing state-owned company at the time, in 1999.

In 2016, Groupe Renault Romania exceeded 5 billion euro ($5.9 billion) in turnover and employed 16,700.

Dacia topped the SeeNews ranking of the 100 biggest companies in Southeast Europe by total revenue for 2016.
