According to the media report, the sale procedures will be launched soon.
Serbian media reported last week that Gorenje plans to close its sanitary equipment factory in Serbia's Zajecar, which has been loss-making for a long time, and is in talks for the lease-out or sale of the production facility.
Last year, Gorenje sold its Serbia-based unit Gorenje Tiki to Swedish water heater maker Nibe Industrier for an undisclosed sum, saying the divestment is part of its strategy to focus on its core business of manufacturing and marketing household appliances.
Gorenje Tiki specialises in the manufacture and marketing of water heaters and heat pumps.
Hisense Luxembourg Home Appliance Holding, a member of China's Hisense Group, acquired Gorenje in October 2018.
