BUCHAREST (Romania), December 21 (SeeNews) – Germany and France have asked the European Union to delay the admission of Bulgaria and Romania into the Schengen passport-free zone, expected in March, Radiofranceinternationale Romania reported on Tuesday. "Not all conditions have been met for the accession of these two counties to the Schengen Area. It would be unrealistic and irresponsible to disregard the shortcomings that were identified," RFI Romania (www.rfi.ro) quoted a letter of the German and French interior ministers sent to the Commissioner for Home Affairs Cecilia Malmstrom.
