February 20 (SeeNews) - Turkish renewable energy producer Fortis Energy said it is currently developing in Albania wind and solar power projects with a total capacity of 639 MW.
Of the total, 627 MW consist of solar power projects located across Albania, including a 100 MW of photovoltaic (PV) array in the southwestern town of Vau i Dejes, a 100 MW PV plant in the central town of Klos and a 130 MW PV plant in the southwestern city of Vlora, as shown in Fortis Energy’s updated portfolio on Monday.
The remaining 12 MW comprise four wind projects in the central-eastern municipality of Dibra.
In January, Fortis Energy said it is developing solar, wind, biogas, and green hydrogen energy projects with a total capacity of up to 2 GW across four countries in the Balkan region.
Earlier this month, Fortis Energy inaugurated a 3 MW biogas plant in Serbia.
