October 16 (SeeNews) - Finnish electronics and wiring systems manufacturer PKC Group is investing 20 million euro in the expansion of its factory in Serbia's Smederevo, Serbian economy minister Goran Knezevic has said.
The company currently has 1,509 workers and plans to expand its capacity and hire 1,200 more, Knezevic said in a press release last week.
PKC plans to invest 20 million euro in the purchase of land and infrastructure construction, as well as in the construction of a new production unit, Knezevic said.
The Finnish investor intends to increase production, create conditions for growth, attract new customers and increase its workforce through this investment, the general manager of PKC Serbia, Tudor Kertz, noted in the press release.
PKC opened its factory in Smederevo in 2014.
