January 18 (SeeNews) - US-based automotive seating manufacturer Adient plans to close its factory in Serbia’s central city of Kragujevac at the end of February after Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Serbia opted to produce seats internally for a new model, local media reported.
Adient has offered employees to apply for a transfer to FCA, which can accept between 70 and 80 workers, or to apply for a severance pay of up to 600,000 dinars ($5,570/5,120 euro), news portal Kragujevacke.rs reported on Wednesday, quoting employees at Adient.
