The wind park, which will comprise eleven wind turbines, will become operational by the end of 2025 and will supply green energy to around 62,000 households, Eurowind Energy said in a social media post on Wednesday.

The value of the project was not disclosed.

"By the end of 2025, the building permits granted to Eurowind Energy projects in Romania will cover 450 MW, thus supporting the mitigation of environmental problems globally and the development of local communities," Eurowind Energy Romania country manager Adrian Dobre said.

In April, Eurowind Energy secured a 65.3 million euro ($70.2 million) credit facility from Banca Comerciala Romana (BCR), the Romanian unit of Austria's Erste Group [BSE:EBS], for the construction of a 48 MW wind farm in Romania's southeastern commune of Pecineaga, Constanta county.

Headquartered in Hobro, Denmark, the Eurowind Group employs over 570 people in fifteen European countries and the U.S. Part of Eurowind Group, Eurowind Energy entered the Romanian market in 2011.

Erste Group's shares traded 0.98% lower at 222.2 lei as at 1110 CET on June 13 on the Bucharest bourse.
