September 15 (SeeNews) - Croatia's Mediterranean Premium Property Developers (MPPD) is developing a four-star 25 million euro ($ 29.5 million) beach hotel in the Adriatic city of Split, the company said on Wednesday.
The hotel will be managed and operated by French hospitality company Accor under the Movenpick brand, MPPD said on its website.
The hotel will have 156 rooms, a rooftop pool lounge and restaurant, spa, conference facilities, a parking lot for 120 cars and would cover 17,000 square meters gross area. According to local media reports, the hotel, named Movenpick Split, would open in the second quarter of 2023.
Split is Croatia's second-largest city and a major tourist destination in central Dalmatia.
Tourism is a key industry for the Croatian economy, contributing a fifth of the country's GDP.
