September 12 (SeeNews) - The gross written premiums (GWP) of Croatia-based insurers rose 8.13% on the year in the first eight months of 2022, reaching 8.79 billion kuna ($1.8 billion/1.17 billion euro), data of the Croatian Insurance Bureau showed on Monday.
Non-life premiums increased by 10.64% on the year to 6.801 billion kuna in the January-August period, the Insurance Bureau, an association of Croatia-based insurers, said in a monthly report.
Life premiums added 0.35% year-on-year to almost 1.99 billion kuna in the review period.
There were 15 insurers registered in the Adriatic country of 3.89 million people last month.
