May 21 (SeeNews) - Croatia will as of May 29 open its borders to citizens from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Austria, without requesting them to go into coronavirus quarantine, tourism minister Gari Cappelli said.
Once the decision takes effect, followed by a planned border opening for German nationals soon after and for Polish citizens later on, more than 60% of the tourist arrivals to Croatia will be granted free entry, Cappelli said in a statement on Wednesday.
Earlier this week, Croatia reopened its border with Slovenia.
As of May 20, Croatia has reported an overall 2,234 coronavirus infections. A total of 1,978 patients have recovered and 96 have died.
