April 27 (SeeNews) - Croatia's economy is expected to expand by 2.8% in 2018, before stabilising at 2.5% in the mid-term, the country's finance minister said.
Croatia's gross domestic product increased by a real 2.8% in 2017, after growing by 3.0% a year earlier.
"The 2.8 percent rate is somewhat above the potential of the Croatian economy, and therefore all the measures contained in the National Reform Programme for 2018 are important, as some segments have direct effects on strengthening the potential of the economy," Zdravko Maric is quoted saying in a government press release issued on Thursday.
Croatia's National Reform Programme for 2018 includes 59 measures in 11 reform areas.
Maric also said that Croatia will see an inflation of 1.5% in 2018, while employment is set to grow by a moderate 1.8%.
Public debt share is expected to fall by 3 percentage points to 75.1% of GDP, he added.
