January 9 (SeeNews) - Croatia's agriculture ministry said it granted 15 million euro ($16 million) for the construction and equipment of a fruit distribution centre to trading company Jabuka LDC, owned by local organisation of fruit producers PZ Jabuka HR.
The future hub will have a cold storage capacity of 6,700 tonnes, equipment for sorting, packaging and processing fruit for juice production, and its own photovoltaic power plant, the ministry said in a statement last week.
The project will be financed through the EU-backed national recovery and resilience plan, aimed to help the country emerge stronger from the COVID-19 pandemic.
