January 20 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria’s Vitosha Venture Partners said on Friday that it has completed its first three deals in 2023, investing a total of 125,000 euro ($135,16o) in local startups Pleggi, Relaxify App and Fight Scout.
Additionally, Vitosha Venture Partners will launch an accelerator programme in March as part of which ten more Bulgarian companies will receive financing, the venture capital firm said in an emailed statement.
As part of the latest deals, Vitosha invested 50,000 euro in Pleggi, a company which offers a platform that facilitates the selection of job candidates. The startup will use the fresh funding to further develop its product as well as to cover costs for current activities, sales and marketing.
Vitosha also invested 25,000 euro in Relaxify App. The firm is selling a mobile application aimed at reducing stress, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress and burnout. The financing will allow the company to launch an IOS application and increase its user base.
Lastly, Vitosha provided 50,000 euro to Fight Scout, which offers a combat sports platform. The company will use the funding for marketing, development and support of the platform.
The venture capital firm added that it will soon announce the names of the ten companies to be selected as part of its programme Accelerate by Vitosha. Apart from financing, the firms will also get access to a three-month programme covering mentoring sessions and workshops.
Vitosha Venture Partners, backed by the Fund of Funds, financed over 50 startups in 2021 and 2022.
