January 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria's Terem-Tsar Samuil, part of state-owned defence equipment manufacture and repair group Terem Holding, opened a new unit for the production of explosives at its factory in Kostenets, the defence ministry said on Tuesday.
The new production facility will create around 30 new jobs in a boost to the local economy, the ministry said in a statement.
The company has signed new contracts amid strong demand for its output. In early 2023, this has led to the upgrade and expansion of its manufacturing facilities as well as restoring production capabilities from the 1980s, according to the statement.
Terem-Tsar Samuil which previously mainly carried out repairs of artillery and military equipment, has redirected its operations to the production of ammunition and pyrotechnics in recent years.
