October 11 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian government agency State Reserve and Wartime Stocks (SRWS) said it has signed a 4.8 million levs ($2.84 million/2.45 million euro) insurance contract with local company Bulstrad - Vienna Insurance Group (Bulstrad VIG).
The deal was signed on October 1 following a tender which attracted two offers, SRWS said in a notice to the public procurement agency on Friday.
The contract covers insurance against fire, explosion, storm, other natural disasters and landslides, as well as other types of property damage.
Bulstrad VIG is a unit of Austria's Vienna Insurance Group. The Austrian group is active on the Bulgarian insurance market through Bulstrad non-life insurer, Bulstrad Life and Nova Ins non-life. It also holds a stake in Doverie, the largest Bulgarian pension assurance company.
