In July-September, prices of grain crops went down by an annual 37.1%, with soft wheat prices falling by 38.1%, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a statement. Industrial crop prices decreased by 33.7%, following a 35.6% drop in sunflower prices, whereas prices of vegetables and fruits grew by 9.5%.

In comparison, animal output prices added 10.5% year-on-year, while live animal prices jumped by 21.2%. The prices of animal products edged up by 0.7% as a result of an 11.8% increase in the prices of hen eggs and a 5.8% decline in cow milk prices.

The price index of goods and services in agriculture in the third quarter of this year was 10.8% lower than in the same period of 2022, the NSI said.
