Production of solid fuels marked the sole yearly fall, of 52.8% to 681,000 tonnes, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a regular data release. It also posted the largest monthly drop, at 41.1%.
In comparison, liquefied petroleum gases (LPG) posted the highest annual rise, at 267% to 11,000 tonnes, which also represented the largest monthly increase, at 37.5%.
Bulgaria's total output of oil products soared by 96.7% on the year to 663,000 tonnes in April, which also amounted to a 6.6% climb month-on-month.
In terms of energy products deliveries, solid fuels recorded the biggest annual fall, at 42.9% to 738,000 tonnes, and the steepest monthly decline, at 38.5%.
On an annual basis, deliveries increased the most for petrol, by 43.3% to 43,000 tonnes. Petrol deliveries also recorded the sole monthly increase, at 19.4%.
Overall deliveries of oil products were 10.3% lower than in March and 5.1% higher compared to April 2023, at 330,000 tonnes, the data from NSI showed.
