November 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian state-owned railways company BDZ Passengers will receive the first two Smartron locomotives from Siemens Mobility in December, ahead of the February 2021 delivery deadline, local media reported.
The remaining eight Smartron trains under the contract should be delivered by May 2021, local news outlet Mediapool reported on Monday.
The 55.5 million levs ($33.7 million/28.4 million euro) deal for the purchase of ten electric locomotives was signed in May.
In addition, Siemens Mobility delivered two Smartron locomotives to Bulgaria's Bulmarket Rail Cargo on November 15, Mediapool reported.
