Bulgarian stock indices mostly rise, CCB paces blue-chip losers

October 13 (SeeNews) - Three of the five main indices of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in green territory on Friday, while the blue-chip SOFIX erased 0.32% to 750.41 points, bourse data showed.

SOFIX was pressed by Central Cooperative Bank [BUL:CCB], which dipped by 3.21% to 1.51 levs, and pharmaceuticals producer Sopharma [BUL:SFA], which lost 2.15% to 7.28 levs.

CCB and Sopharma also constrained the BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares on the Sofia bourse. The index shed 0.25% to 157.96 points, with the biggest decline being a 4.76% drop in cables manufacturer Emka [BUL:EMKA] to 2.00 levs.

In comparison, the BGTR30, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, edged up 0.04% to 783.90 points. The index was lifted by pharmaceuticals trader Sopharma Trading [BUL:SFT], which increased by 3.31% to 6.25 levs, and venture capital firm Eleven Capital [BUL:11C], which climbed by 2.11% to 19.40 levs.

The BGREIT, which tracks seven real estate investment trusts, added 0.19% to 187.42 points. The only constituent in the index to post a change from the previous day's close was Advance Terrafund REIT [BUL:ATER], which ticked up by 0.97% to 3.12 levs.

The BEAMX index, which tracks the ten most highly capitalised growth companies, went up 0.31% to 99.07 points. It was buoyed by a 1.39% advance at Webit Investment Network [BUL:WIN] to 0.73 levs and a 1.36% rise in Dronamics Capital [BUL:DRON] to 2.99 levs.

Total turnover on the main market of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange grew to roughly 1.17 million levs ($635,241/598,209 euro) on Friday from 331,540 levs on Thursday.

The top stock by turnover was diversified group Holding Varna [BUL:HVAR], which generated 28,730 levs after 650 shares traded. The stock closed flat at 44.20 levs.
