November 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgarian online platform for booking caravans Karavani.bg said it has attracted an investment of 50,000 euro ($51,692) from local venture capital fund Innovation Capital, the startup platform said.
Karavani.bg plans to invest the fresh funds in upgrading its technology and services, the company said in a press release on Monday.
The startup also intends to participate in a series of investment events in Sofia in November, allowing interested parties to invest at least 1,500 euro in an equity stake in the company.
Overall, Karavani.bg plans to expand its brand in the Balkans and increase its opportunities for business-to-business income. The company will be also exploring potential opportunities for new business models, which will be built in collaboration with digital marketing agency dgtl atelier.
In 2023, the startup plans to enter the markets in Romania and Greece, which is expected to increase the volume of its business multiple times. Karavani.bg said it is already in the process of building partnerships with seven campsite operators in Greece as well as a popular caravan and camper platform in Romania.
Launched in 2021, Karavani.bg is currently working with 70 owners of caravans. Since the start, the number of offered caravans has increased over five times to 165 now. The company is also offering online booking of bungalows, campers, tents and dome houses.
