"The project aims to pilot Mentessa’s intelligent skills agent, leveraging the predictive power of AI and Large Language Models to help Raiffeisen-Landesbank Steiermark understand, connect and develop the skills of their workforce," Mentessa said in a statement on Monday, without disclosing the funding amount.

EIT Digital's endorsement testifies to the potential impact of Mentessa's project on the European innovation landscape, the startup in skill-based organizations noted.

"Mentessa's approach to leveraging AI for skill enhancement aligns perfectly with our mission to support digital transformation and workforce upskilling across Europe," EIT Digital chief innovation and education officer Diva Tommei said.

Founded in 2019 by Tina Ruseva and Andrey Andreev, Mentessa facilitates knowledge sharing, learning and collaboration in hybrid organisations. With over 5,000 users across different organisations, the platform fosters a silo-free corporate culture, enabling employees to learn and work collaboratively.

EIT Digital is a leading European open innovation organisation, bringing together over 350 corporations, small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, universities and research institutes to drive digital technology innovation and entrepreneurial talent. Launched in 2010, the organisation has supported more than 780 startups and scaleups to grow internationally, created more than 250 ventures and launched more than 540 products and services commercially, according to its website.
