November 17 (SeeNews) - Bulgaria extended until February 24 a programme envisaging humanitarian aid in the amount of 15 levs ($7.92/7.67 euro) per overnight stay to people displaced from Ukraine, the government said.
In the forthcoming period, however, new accommodations will be allowed only in state-owned or municipal sites, the government said in a statement on Wednesday.
Assistance under the programme can be used in sites registered in the national tourism register for refugees who were accommodated in such places as of October 31 and continue to stay there after November 2.
The government said on November 9 that it will provide an additional 6.73 million levs ($3.56 million/3.44 million euro) for accommodating Ukrainian refugees. The funding will reimburse stays in the period between September 1, 2022 and September 30, 2022.
