July 2 (SeeNews) - British steel products supplier Metalrax said on Thursday its Romanian unit, hydraulic equipment maker Hidrosib, will commence insolvency proceedings to stem losses running at some 100,000 British pounds ($164,000/116,000 euro) per month. In addition to an onerously high cost base imposed as part of Hidrosib’s privatisation in 2004, the company has been seriously impacted by the current economic conditions, Metalrax said in a statement.
