September 16 (SeeNews) - Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar successfully performed flight tests of the country's first flying car, it said.
The prototype, called Cezeri and weighing 230 kilograms, rose 10 metres above ground in the tests carried out in Istanbul, Baykar said in a statement.
Selcuk Bayraktar, chief technology officer of Baykar, said that the next prototypes will be more advanced and some of the future tests will include a human on board.
Baykar was set up in 1984. With 750 employees, the company produces armed and non-armed unmanned aerial vehicles, control systems, simulators, and avionics systems.
